Crime and Hard Times by the Dirty River:
An evening of Hull Noir

Join the panel to discuss Hull and Humberside as locations for gripping crime fiction, and to explore Hull Noir, an official 2017 UK City of Culture festival.

The panel will include  Nick Quantrill, Louise Beech and David Young and David Mark.

Hull Noir 2017 is a crime-writing festival featuring the best of British and international crime fiction.

We’re proud to be taking a taste of the festival, the city’s first, on the road to York’s Big City Read with writers David Mark and Louise Beech, whose work takes readers from the shadowy backstreets of Hull Old Town to the waterfront, and David Young, who is no stranger to the city.

Devised as part of Hull’s year as the UK City of Culture 2017, the event promises to be uniquely ‘Hull’, and is chaired by crime author, Nick Quantrill.
